Born in the Pennsylvania Anthracite Region in 1966, Goldbeck earned a Bachelor of Art degree in creative writing and history and a Master of Fine Arts-Interdisciplinary Arts (MFA-IA).
She moved to Middletown, PA in 2007 after daughter, Becca, entered Penn State.

Arts on Union Gallery
Located at 203 North Union Street in Middletown, Arts on Union opened in early 2008. In addition to featuring the art of Christine Goldbeck, Arts on Union exhibits other artists.
The gallery contains paintings, framed photographs , books, greeting cards and other original art objects and many of these are for sale .
Gallery hours are by appointment, although since Christine's studio and residence are also on site, chances are if you drop by, you will find her working and ready to welcome you.
Manager
In addition to matting and framing, Jay Howes helps Christine operate the gallery. He has a great eye for installing exhibits .Chances are when you visit the gallery or come to the studio to take a workshop, Jay will be on site engaged in a project of his own.
Studio Crew
Ginger, Leonardo, Maybelle and Angel help with various projects. Ginger, a four-year -old Golden Retriever , who smiles, reminds that daily walks, tug-of-war and hugs are important and should be worked into the schedule no matter what a busy day has in store.
Leonardo is Jay's cat . He likes to paint and to talk - ALOT. Leo is Ginger's best friend.. The two play and sleep together.
Maybelle ... well, she thinks she is boss - of everything. She;s a tortoise shell tabby who looks like she may have been painted by Jackson Pollock. She , like Leo, came to us from a local SPCA.
You will not likely meet Angel. She's shy and rarely enters the studio because she cannot be bothered with the likes of the rest of the crew. if you see a flash of gray run by, you may have caught a rare glimpse of Angel, who was born to a feral cat that Christine rescued more than a decade ago. |
