wherein I explain my visual expressions in words

Lyrical. I promise I could hear the creek and the brook in these paintings as I worked. Can you?

Mysterious. Take a walk into each. As you more toward the back, will you be able to walk around the waterfalls or will you need to sit on a rock as the mist swirls?

Renewal is my toast to springtime. I added the flowers at the last minute, inspired by the new wildflowers greeting me on my morning walks. Renewal happens in every season, especially when you can hear a stream dancing over and around rocks and when you can take a few moments to reflect on. So, that's why I changed its name at the last minute from “Morning Meditation” to “Renewal.” 

 This is the photograph of the interior of the painting. 

Babbling Brook has a little more energy. I danced with my brushes, sweeping and shuffling in a lyrical way, expressing the music of the brook, dancing over and around the rocks. What fun it was to paint. Yet, in its aliveness, there is a sense of calm and an invitation to keep walking toward that misty mystery inside the painting.
